Favorite thing about Greek life: Gaining leadership experience through being president and holding other positions in Phi Sigma Sigma is to me, one of the most rewarding things about being a greek. I also love all of the opportunities that my organization has given me, whether it be through giving back to our community or traveling to different parts of the country to attend sorority conferences! Lastly, my college experience would pale in comparison had I not met my amazing sisters! I know these girls will be there for me no matter what and I have made amazing life long friendships!

Favorite thing about Oneonta: My favorite thing about Oneonta is the atmosphere. Everywhere I go I see both a new face and a familiar face.

Favorite Thing About Greek Life: Greek Life has given me more opportunities than I could ever imagine. So many doors have been opened that I don't think would have been if I didn't join Greek Life. I have a growing network of people who I can contact for help with anything and everything. Being in Greek Life has changed my life for the better!

Favorite Thing about Oneonta: I love the people that I have met and the atmosphere of this school. In life, a lot of people come and go. But thanks to Oneonta, I have made lifelong friends and memories.

Name: Katie Ritchie

Life Motto: As cliché as it sounds, “everything happens for a reason”

Favorite Thing About Greek Life: Greek life has provided me with life long friends whom have helped to shape me into who I am.  I have such a different bond with the sisters in my sorority that I don’t think could have been formed if I didn’t join Greek Life.  No matter what day or time, there is always someone that I can call to hit the library, grab a bite to eat, or just hang out!  It also forced me to get involved on campus in ways that I probably wouldn’t have on my own.

Favorite Thing about Oneonta:  First of all, I just love the atmosphere of being upstate.  I’m from Long Island and there is nothing like being in Oneonta during the fall to watch the mountains turn from green to gold.  I also love that I can always find a familiar face wherever I go!

Anything else you want your readers to know about you?: I also write for the Oneonta chapter of HerCampus.  HerCampus is an online blog, and our chapter focuses on all things Oneonta! You should definitely check it out if you haven’t already!

Favorite thing about greek life: I love how I’m apart of something bigger than myself. Not only are these people my family, but also they will be my bridesmaids at my wedding. Furthermore, greek life gives me so many opportunities to give back to the community.  

Favorite thing about Oneonta: I love the people and the atmosphere of this school. There’s so many different types of people here that I’ve met and now consider my best friends/sisters.
